At the time of starting this business, Julie was just looking for a part-time job; we thought an extra £200 a month, or so, would help pay the mortgage. Julie is a full time mother of 3, and I was a manager for Royal Mail, having worked full time there for over 20 years.

We weren’t particularly looking for a business opportunity, initially. I was in my final year of a part-time degree course in IT, up to my eyes in assignments and revising for exams, but I thought I could still fit in about 10 hours per week to develop this business in my spare time. With this business, I could see a way of working for a lifestyle - NOT just a living, as impressive passive incomes are achieved in the form of Royalty Bonuses, with none of the risks, and without affecting current jobs.

Probably like most people, the reason I used to go to work for someone else was to make life more pleasurable; but I found the more I got promoted, the longer hours I had to work, the less free time I had, so I'd totally missed the plot on the first objective of: "making life more pleasureable!".
